About this property

This stylish + cozy casita, built in 1939, is located in RINCON HEIGHTS, right in the heart of town and a short 2 block walk to the University of Arizona. Appointed with original art and heirloom antiques from family travels, you can enjoy the recently renovated kitchen and bathroom, all tastefully done in a vintage style. This fresh yet hip bungalow will ensure an easy, comfortable stay. We typically do not allow pets, however we can possibly make exceptions depending on the situation. This cozy one bedroom casita also has a twin size day bed in the Living Room which makes for a comfortable stay for up to 3 guests: perfect for a visiting professor or parents and a potential student. Or any travelers that enjoy coming to Tucson. Full size kitchen, dining, sleeping, and living areas. Lighted parking lot in the back of the property. I’m happy to help with anything to make sure your stay is a great one. Please text message or call me for fastest response. Rincon Heights neighborhood is a mix but mostly comprised of vintage homes, like our casita. Originally created by the need for University housing, these small but very comfortable casitas are real architectural jewels, with lots of nice details. Walking distance from University of Arizona, Stadium, gym, and University Blvd shops, restaurants, and bars. U of A is just a couple of blocks away! Rec center (gym) is 5min walking, and you can get a daily pass that allows you to use the pool or rent equipment (i.e. mountain bikes, etc). As well as university blvd, which provides fun for families and a cool night scene. Downtown is only 4min away in a car, and 4th avenue is also 4min away. They have plenty of things to offer, shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, yoga studios, museums, musical shows, hair salons, etc! You can also catch the streetcar that takes you there. Off street parking in back of property; street parking available Monday - Friday 5pm-8am and weekends.

Excellent location within walking distance of UA’s campus, food, and transport. Maxwell was a responsive host and quickly took care of any needs that came up. The deck offers a nice spot to sit and watch the sunrise/sunset.

Great place for a short stay in Tucson! The location is very convenient, close to the University of Arizona and downtown. The place is well prepared and has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, extra towels, an extra bed, bed sheets and pillows, a washing machine, high-speed internet, and a smart TV.
The area feels safe, and the apartment is bright and comfortable. The air conditioning works very well, which is especially important during the Tucson summer.
Overall, a comfortable, convenient, and well-equipped place. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tucson for a short stay!

The location was convenient and made it easy to get around Tucson. The home itself was charming, though a few things could use updating, such as the peeling leather couch. The front door has a large window with a direct view into the living room, which made me feel less comfortable staying alone.
The washer’s spin cycle didn’t work, leaving clothes soaked before drying. The shower occasionally wouldn’t drain and water pooled, though Maxwell offered to send someone. I denied as it had “resolved” itself and I managed the issue for the rest of my stay.
My biggest concern was the roaches in the bathroom. Maxwell offered to send an exterminator, but not until a later date due exterminator availability and having just welcomed a new baby. He offered roach traps in the meantime. After seeing larger roaches, I chose to end my stay early. Maxwell was understanding and refunded the unused portion of my stay.
